Description:
180 new affordable housing units for families and individuals making between 30% and 60% of the area median income. The new development replaces 86 existing units which were over 60 years old. The development preserves an existing Head Start child care facility, and also provides a new community center and maintenance building as well as ancillary facilities. There are 21 buildings containing a wide variety of unit types, including one-bedroom flats, two-bedroom flats and townhouses, three-bedroom townhouses, and four-bedroom flats and townhouses. All units have porches and individual entries. Ground floor units have private patios, while upper units have balconies. Units feature central heat and air conditioning, energy efficient appliances, outdoor storage rooms, and washer and dryer hook-ups for 3 and 4 bedroom units.
